So we tip our caps in the direction of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz, who staged an all-timer against Duke on Monday night.

Louisville had possession of the ball to open the second half. Walz had his players take the court as if they were trying to score on one basket — but, in fact, Louisville was tricking Duke into defending the basket where itwas trying to score. The result? When Louisville inbounded the ball, point guard Mariya Moore had a wide-open layup with virtually every player on the court set to begin play under the wrong hoop.

Duke's players had no idea they were about to get victimized by a historically smooth trick play — until it was too late, according to Blue Devils guard Lexie Brown.

"They were laughing at us, and I was like, 'Why are they laughing?'" Brown said of the play after the game. "And then, layup."

Brown's Duke squad did get the last laugh by pulling out a three-point win in the game — but it's Louisville's moment of mischief that folks will remember more than Monday's final score.
