Motorola's new foldable Razr smartphone is officially going on pre-sale this Jan. 26, with in-store sales kicking off on Feb. 6. The foldable smartphone which, unlike Samsung's problematic foldable phone, opens top to bottom as opposed to the familiar book-like side to side, is an intentional homage Motorola's iconic Razr phone from back in the day.

Karissa Bell, Mashable's senior tech reporter, had a brief chance to check out the new Razr and called it "the only foldable phone I've actually been excited about."

According to a Motorola spokesperson, eager customers can place their pre-orders at Verizon, Walmart, or that old standby motorola.com.
