Jim Carrey has drawn the dramatic face off between Beto O'Rourke and Canada ArchivesTed Cruz ahead of the midterm elections, and it is (like most of his illustrations) a lot.
In another of his infamous political drawings, Carrey depicts Texas Democratic senate candidate Beto O'Rourke eviscerating his Republican opponent -- a "vampire" Ted Cruz -- with sunlight. Yes, you did read that correctly.

"Let’s make this Tuesday like the end of every great vampire movie," Carrey tweeted on Monday, after encouraging his followers to vote for O'Rourke. "Pull back the curtains and let the sunshine turn all those bloodsuckers to dust."
Carrey wasn't quite able to capture O'Rourke's rugged good looks and boyish charm, but his depiction of Cruz as a blood sucker being destroyed by sunlight kind of hits the nail on the head.
It appears to have gotten under Cruz's skin, as he responded on Monday with what seems like an attempt at a sick burn.

Hmm. Okay, Ted.
O'Rourke and Cruz have been in a heated race for more than a year that's elicited excitement from Democrats and frustration from Republicans. If O'Rourke were to win, he'd be the first Democrat to fill a Texas Senate seat in 25 years.
Regardless of how you feel about this illustration, and whether or not you live in Texas, we encourage you all to vote in the midterms on Tuesday!
UPDATE: Nov. 5, 2018, 4:05 p.m. EST This post has been updated to include Ted Cruz's response.
