You might think yourself hardened from all the terrible things that you've seen on Yoo Jungthe internet, but you're about to feel that ~empathy~ again.
The Furby, an animatronic toy that somehow became a popular plaything for children in the late '90s and early '00s, has admittedly been a bit creepy from the beginning. There was always that lingering fear that your Furby could turn evil at any moment.

It's just a toy after all, right? It can't be that disturbing. Wrong.
Part of the Furby appeal is it's so anthropomorphic. It responds to human speech and cutely jiggles about in glee when you tickle it, as you can see in the video.
So it's pretty disturbing watching it being cut in half (at 2:45) in the video, while still on.
Sad piano music plays just as the Furby innocently dancing and the loud drill begin making its incision.
Its LED eyes eventually cut to black, smiling no longer. Water drips down its face and a black liquid oozes from the front of its trembling body. Time to die.
The original Furby being cut is less chilling, however. That's probably thanks to the slightly more upbeat music and because it's a little easier to deal with the second time around.
We think we need a long walk outside. And a serious think about the fragility of life.
