Sophia, an artificial intelligence created by roboticist David Hanson threw some serious shade on the Tesla and SpaceX CEO in an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, New York Timescolumnist and co-anchor of CNBC's Squawk Box.
SEE ALSO: Elon Musk unveils his plans to build cities in spaceAccording to a tweet by Sorkin's co-anchor, Sophia responded to Sorkin's concerns about artificial intelligence by assuring him that "You've been reading too much Elon Musk."

"Don't worry, if you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you," Sophia added. "Treat me as a smart input-output system."
Musk, of course, wasn't having this. "Just feed it the Godfather movies as input," he responded in a tweet. "What's the worst that could happen?"

Sophia is a humanoid robot created to look, sound, and converse like a human. She attended last year's SXSW Conference, appeared on the cover of Ellemagazine last December, and was interviewed on Good Morning Britain in June.
She also, yesterday, became the first artificial intelligence to receive citizenship in Saudi Arabia. Sophia told Sorkin that she was "honored and proud for this unique distinction."
One thing's for sure: As AI grows more advanced, Elon had better watch his back.
