At its event on The Doctor Has Big Boobs 2Tuesday, Apple launched the eagerly awaited iPhone 13. Yes, the notch is still there, but there are plenty of upgrades to keep the cult of Apple satisfied.
Are you someone who wants the iPhone 13 right away? There are steps you can take even beforethe preorder. Until midnight, Sept. 16, you can add all of your info to the Apple website ahead of time so that when preordering starts, the process is smooth and hassle-free.
Here's how to do it.
On the Apple website, choose the model you'd like to preorder. On the order page, you can add all the details about your order, like finish, storage capacity, and mobile carrier. Then, you'll be asked to log into your Apple account, choose your payment plan, and enter your payment information. If you're paying in monthly installments, you will also fill out information to get pre-approved for your payments loan.
Once all of these steps are complete, the information is saved within your Apple account. All you need to do is sign in and hit complete when preorder goes live.
Preorders open at 8:00 a.m ET/5:00 a.m. PT, Sept. 17. This is when you should log into your Apple account and complete the order. From there, your shiny new iPhone 13 will ship on Sept. 24.
The new iPhone 13 is not cheap. The iPhone 13 starts at $799 and the iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999. But there are a few ways to save money on your phone when you preorder. Carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon offer trade-in credit when you buy through the Apple store. How much credit you get depends on the value of the old model as well as the carrier, so make sure to read the fine print. Wal-Mart is also offering a deal of $100 off handsets.
