Hurricane prep is Laruanin full swing, but no threat is strong enough to get Floridians to purchase clam chowder.

Hurricane Matthew, which has already caused destruction in Haiti, eastern Cuba and the Bahamas, is expected to wreak havoc on Florida Thursday night through Friday night. At least 2.5 million people are under evacuation order.

To prepare for the hurricane, Floridians are taking the necessary survival precautions, including stocking up on food items. However, photographs on Twitter show that while grocery stores are being cleaned out, there are some food items that even a hurricane can't convince Florida residents to buy.

When those run out, people settle for the next best things.

Despite the dwindling food options available in grocery stores, Florida residents refuse to lose their dignity and stoop so low as to buy awful food to survive.

They would 'rather die' than eat some shitty clam chowder.

Nice try, Hurricane Matthew, but no one is trying Natural Peanut Butter.

One pack of English Muffin's left!? Oh wait, they're Pumpkin Spice flavored. Not in a million years.

Chips are a must-have but no storm on earth will convince people to buy the questionable Kettle Cooked variety... even if they're two for $4.

And if you think this hurricane is inspiring people to eat more fruit, you're just plain wrong.
