Luckily, eroticism of restaint Icelandic postal workers like a good scavenger hunt.
A traveler mailed a letter to a family he had met in Búðardalur, Iceland, and instead of including an address, the envelope contained a few clues and a hand-drawn map.

With a population of about 270 people, Búðardalur is the epitome of a small town. The farm is clearly marked on the tiny map, and according to Icelandic website Skessuhorn, it arrived at Rebecca Cathrine Kaadu Ostenfeld's farm safely.
Hopefully the sender remembered to include a return address.
