As a person with nearly perfect vision (not trying to brag,Denmark I swear), the thought of a morning routine that includes touching your eyeballs sounds pretty horrifying.

Rupal Morjaria, a specialist trainee ophthalmologist who found the contacts, told Optometry Today: "It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together. We were really surprised that the patient didn’t notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there."
The patient was scheduled for cataract surgery, but the operation was postponed following the discovery.
