LONDON -- You might not have Girlfriend’s Sister [Uncut]thought you needed an in-depth infographic that tracks every single spell mentioned in all the Harry Potterbooks, but that's where you'd be wrong.
Admittedly the graph below will probably only appeal to hardcore Potter-heads but, to those well acquainted with J.K. Rowling's spell-binding world, it certainly makes for a nice trip down Penseive lane.
SEE ALSO: 14 of the most heart-breaking quotes from 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'Ever wondered which spells get the most mentions in the Harry Potterbooks? How many times Harry conjures a Patronus, or disarms someone? How many unforgivable curses get cast? It's all in the table below, and each colourful dot is even backed up with the corresponding quote from the story.
(Click here if you're having trouble viewing the chart.)
The chart was created by U.S.-resident Skyler Johnson, and can be ordered by "Order of Appearance" and "Most Occurrences" (the latter of which is particularly interesting, as it allows you to see which spells are spoken about the most).
The top five? Accio, Expecto Patronum, Stupefy, Expelliarmus, and -- lurking in fifth position and reminding us just how dark things got towards the end -- Avada Kedavra.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from all this, though, is just how impressively the Harry Potterbooks have endured. It's been over nine years since the last one was published, and we're still finding new ways to talk about them.
