Remember that time the American President insisted he'd get a wall built along the entire Mexican border,Uschi Karnat and then, have Mexico pay for it? Now, Donald "The Art of the Deal" Trump is telling people he might want to attach a bunch of solar panels to the wall, which would pay for said wall.
Trump reportedly suggested the idea during a meeting with Republican politicians on Tuesday, but it wouldn't be Trump if he didn't attach something inane to it. And did he ever, telling the gathered lawmakers that they were free to talk about the possibility ifthey said Trump came up with it (though in reality, the idea probably came from one of many proposals for the construction of the wall).
In Trump's dreams, the wall towers 40-50 feet above the earth and gleams with solar panels, generating electricity that would essentially serve as the delicious cash needed to fund the wall, which is predicted to cost billions of dollars. The plan, though—like seemingly all plans this administration has put forth—is by no means definitive.
And until this non-definitive plan comes to non-fruition, feel free to remember all the times Trump insisted Mexico—the country, which is not a collection of solar panels—would pay for his wall.
