Today in "things you most definitely did not expect to read,Watch Woman in Her 20s Who Has Luscious Matured Curves Online" Margaret Atwood is apparently a big Drizzy fan.
We know that might sound random, but it's true. And she'd even be open to him starring in the second season of Hulu's popular on-screen adaptation of her dystopian novel, The Handmaid's Tale. Yep. YEP. This could be happening.
*In a recent conversation with novelist Junot Díaz, published in the Boston Review, Atwood shared her desire to have Drake cameo in the series that stars Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, and Serena Joy.
SEE ALSO: Alexis Bledel will join 'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 2, but what does it mean?Right before the conversation between the two writers came to a close, Díaz casually mentioned he was recently in Toronto — the city where Handmaid's Tale is filmed — and explained the country now has "two global superstars": Atwood and Toronto-born rapper, Drake.
After asking if Atwood has ever met Drake, she said she had not, but simply blamed it on her lack of attending hip parties. (We get it, Atwood. Same.) Then, when Díaz pressed the fact that it would essentially be a disservice to Canada if two talented, Toronto-linked people such as herself and the rapper didn't work together at some point, Atwood came right out and suggested he appear on the show.
"Wouldn’t it be fun for him to have a cameo in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale?" Atwood asked? To which Díaz concurred, "Well, there you have it."
"There you have it." Atwood said, sharing that she'd "drop that notion into the ear of Bruce Miller, the showrunner, and see what he can do with that..."
Since the show is filmed in Toronto, the Handmaid'sauthor figured "maybe Drake could help smuggle someone?"
As the conversation came to a close, the two writers exchanged pleasantries, but Atwood clearly couldn't stop thinking about Drake. "You’ve given me a new idea. Drake in The Handmaid’s Tale!" she reiterated.
So, there you have it, Drake: looks like Atwood could be calling you on your cell phone to visit Gilead soon.
*It's not happening. But let us have this.
