According to the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration,Rebekka Armstrong Archives Huawei submitted a trademark application for “MATEROBOT” last month, and it is currently awaiting substantive examination. The trademark covers a broad range of products, including telepresence robots, chatbot software, user-programmable humanoid robots, smartphones, and AI-powered humanoid robots with communication and learning capabilities. It also includes robots for security monitoring, education, scientific research, and household tasks, according to the application. In early March, Huawei, in partnership with China Mobile and Leju Robotics, unveiled the Kuafu humanoid robot at Mobile World Congress 2025.
