A tale as old as time is Watch Batman Begins Onlineabout to get a 2017 twist.
John Legend and Ariana Grande will sing the iconic "Beauty and the Beast" ballad for the live action remake's soundtrack, Disney said Wednesday.
Grammy-winning veteran Ron Fair, who has been in the business for 37 years as a producer, arranger, recording engineer and musical director, will produce the new rendition of the song.
“Stepping into the shoes of an Oscar and GRAMMY Award-winning classic is not small potatoes," Fair said in a statement, adding that the song will get a "new school-old school" revamp "that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire.”
Don't worry, there will also be a music video.
The original enchanting song, which features eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken’s melody and two-time Oscar-winner Howard Ashman’s lyrics, was performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. It received an Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy in 1991.
The new live action film, directed by Bill Condon, debuts in theaters on March 17, 2017. It stars Watson, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
The original motion picture soundtrack will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10. There will be new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Ashman. Also featured: three new songs written by Menken and veteran lyricist and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice.
Audio footage of Watson singing "Something There" leaked online over the holidays.
