As Pence walked to his seat for a Friday evening show, loud booing ensued. There was a smattering of applause, too, as he waved, but the jeers overpowered his supporters. Heckles continued during the show when a song had to be paused because of the disturbance, an audience member reported on Twitter.

Hamilton's creator Lin-Manuel Miranda was a vocal opponent of the Donald Trump-Pence ticket, speaking out against the Republicans on Saturday Night Liveand on Twitter.
