"When you're accused of doing something that is so foreign to your values, it brings out an outrage in you, and that's how we feel," he said. "Apple has always been about doing the right thing. We haven't done anything wrong, and the Irish government hasn't done anything wrong."

In another interview with the Irish Independent, Cook dismissed the Commission's finding that Apple only paid an effective corporate tax rate of 0.005 per cent from 2014.
"It's total political crap," he said. "They just picked a number from I don't know where. In the year that the Commission says we paid that tax figure, we actually paid $400m. We believe that makes us the highest taxpayer in Ireland that year."
The iPhone maker's boss added that in 2014 Apple's worldwide tax rate was 26.1%.
After a three-year probe, EU competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager concluded that Ireland granted undue tax benefits of up to €13 billion ( $14.5 billion) to Apple.
She said Apple's sweetheart tax deal with Ireland amount to "illegal state aid."
The Irish cabinet is divided on over whether to appeal against the commission's ruling.
Cook, who announced further expansion plans in Cork, said he would "love" to see the Irish government appeal.
